Water Sports & Boat Trips

Marsa Alam is famous for its accessible dive spots full of healthy and vibrant reef, much of which is protected within the Wadi al-Gemal Natural Protectorate. Both experienced divers and beginners will be able to explore unmatched marine life here, with dolphin sightings as a huge bonus. For snorkelers, in-shore coral reefs offer hours of tranquil marine-viewing pleasure.

Another advantage to having plentiful reefs is that they create large natural lagoons with flat waters, the perfect conditions for kitesurfing. The combination of flat lagoons, year-round warm weather, and strong wind make Marsa Alam one of Egypt’s go-to destinations to ride the wind and learn new tricks.

Full-day boat trips can be arranged for deep water swimming, island hopping, snorkeling, and diving at interesting shipwreck sites further away from shore. Bedouin-style lunches are often included in secluded and scenic spots on the mangrove bays.
