The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC)

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is the first museum of its kind to showcase Egyptian civilization from prehistoric to modern times. The museum’s main attraction is the Royal Mummies Hall, which opened to the public in April 2021 in a glittering procession, the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade, where 20 royal mummies were transported from their former home in the Egyptian Museum to their new home at the NMEC. The sprawling museum complex is located in Al-Fustat (Old Cairo).
