World Children’s Day was first celebrated in 1959 to remember the difficult situations faced by children worldwide, including violence, poverty, life as refugees, and child labor. This year, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is dedicating World Children’s Day to raising awareness of children’s rights through hosting educational workshops for children about Egyptian traditions.
